Pictures of the game played Tuesday Feb. 12th 2019 - Refight of the battle of Schöngraben from the "roll up that map" campaign guide with the ESR! v2 rules.
Scale 1"=100 yards.
Miniatures are : AB 18mm & Blue-moon 18mm. AB 18mm are painted by professional painter Laurent Groscolas.
The game is in place.
We don't have materials to represents the streams so we use some cardboard to represent them.

On the right Lannes and Oudinot began their assault trying to crossing the dammed vineyard.
On the center the French deploy their artillery.
On the left Sebastiani with the light cavalry moves to flank the Russian but the Russian did the same.

After an heavy fire of artillery, Legrand and Sould Launch the assault in the vineyard.
The Russians suffer a lot from artillery fire.

Oudinot and Lannes managed to maintain cohesion crossing the vineyard.

The cavalry is now face to face.

In the center the cossacks and the jägers were broken and fellback to the village of Grund.

Soult and Legrand attack the Russian artillery and infantry.

Lannes and Oudinot waited for Soult and Legrand.
On the far left Murat takes command of the cavalry whereas Bragation did the same.

Unlucky the French cavalry were severely battered and rout...

Oudinot's grenadiers finally swept back the musketeers and come to support Sould and Legrand.
The Cosican and Pô rangers are send into combat with the Russian grenadiers and managed to pushed them off! The Russian grenadiers are falling back.

The combat against the Russian grenadiers was hard and a lot of fatigue were accumulated by Legrand's Division...
The Russian cavalry charges in the exhausted French infantry and sabers them!
Soult and Legrand's Division are broken!

The Russian troopers are falling-back, but the mighty Russian grenadiers cover the retreat.
