Miniatures are : AB 18mm - Blue-moon 18mm // Old-glory & Essex 15mm for the Austrian. AB 18mm are painted by professional painter Laurent Groscolas.
Picture above : The French division try to repair the bridge whereas the Austrians division quickly move to cut any further deployment for the French. Notice that the French artillery deployed in the marsh (dense terrain) is a nonsense, and we corrected that error later in the game.

The bridge is repaired. Notice that the sappers, on the front right, helped a lot!

The battalions of French Légère and Grenadiers storm the bridge.

The French attack was first a success but unfortunaly the pressure of the massed Austrians was too high and the French division of Loison breaks, and reforms in a safe place with only 3 battalions (9 in the beginning of the day).
The artillery of Seroux (between the two bridges) could not managed to deploy....
The French reinforcement division of Mahler is arriving in column on the road.

The French division of Mahler attacks... But was unsuccessful... Too many Austrians... The French division of Mahler is forced to retreat and the 3 battalions of Élite infantry from the Division of Loison cover the retreat.(see next picture).

The 2 battalions of the 6ème légère and the battalion of Grenadiers from Loison's Division cover the retreat and swept back an entire divison of Austrians which regroups on the heights behind the town of Ober-Elchingen.

We ended the game, the French didn't have enough power to cross the bridge...Marshal Ney failed this day, The Emperor is very disapointed!
